Glad to help! And that would be great. I don't think there are THAT many scorpion hobbyists even worldwide. I figure we should all know each other on some level, and help each other when we can.
The only plans I have right now for summer that aren't flexible, is June 3-6.
WAKARUSA music festival in the Ozarks of Arkansas. (Really pretty forest and hills) And the line-up this year is Awesome! Widespead Panic, STS9, Umphrey's McGee, Disco Biscuits, Blues Traveler, Papa Mali and Bil Kreutzmann, Lotus, Fishbone, Ekoostik Hookah......... etc!
Other than that, you don't know what desert I might pop up in!
Get studying! And I will talk with you when it's closer!
scorpion2.jpg Better view of Vaejovis intermedius, Terlingua, Texas, Juvenile. Photographer and brother may be making short film of me collecting in Terlingua. Their other films are amazing, so lets cross our fingers.
thanks! Route may change, but it should be Terlingua, Lajitas, Redford, Presidio, Shafter. Hoping to find Diplocentrus whitei, D. lindo, Serradigitus sp. Undescribed 'Texas' (for Sissom who is describing), Centruroides vittatus "panthernensis" & "chisosarius", Vaejovis crassimanus, V. intermedius, V. coahuilae, V. waueri, Paruroctonus globosus, P. gracilis. Plus maybe Vinagaroons and Solfugids for dna research in Colorado. There are quite a few other species I may run into, but they are mostly or only in parks, which require permits. But it is a majical land, so who knows?
I have been finding Centruroides vittatus "panthernensis", and a couple Diplocentrus. I'm not sure if they are D. lindo or D. whitei just yet. Had to dig them out of burrows. Not going as well as I was hoping for, but better than it could be! The drive (hitch) from Terlingua to Presidio on 170 is fantastic if any of you ever get the chance. Peace!
